What You'll Be Doing

The HVAC Technician will be responsible for operating and maintaining HVAC/R equipment and systems.

 

The successful candidate will be able to:

Maintain HVAC systems within our healthcare system by servicing and overhauling pneumatic controls, steam valves and other associated equipment, repair bearings and shafts, removing defective equipment, and, installs and tests new equipmentPerform compressor changeoutsApply knowledge/experience with both gas heat, and cooling products from various manufacturersPerform basic recordkeeping techniquesInspect and operate equipment, air conditioners, heat pumps, refrigerators, freezers, water cooler, etc for proper functioningInvestigate complaints i.e. climate control, and perform necessary adjustmentsReview and interpret work orders, operating instructions, diagrams, building plans and mechanical equipment drawingsPerform snow removal detailCommunicate effectively both orally and in writing. Understand and follow oral and written directions.Collaboratively work with others, as well as perform work independently with little directionInteract with clients to ensure satisfaction and to request referralsPerform any and all other duties as assigned What We're Looking For High School diploma or equivalent required2-4 years in trade, hospital environment preferredActive and valid NJ driver's licenseKnowledge of generators is a plus, but not requiredNJ Master HVAC/R License a plus, but not requiredThe following NJ Licenses are highly desirableNJ Electrical contractor licenseNJ Plumbing licenseNJ Boiler LicenseNJ Refrigeration LicenseWillingness to travel to all CarePoint facilities in Bayonne, Hoboken, Jersey City, including associated Physician officesCommunicate effectively both orally and in writing. Understand and follow oral and written directionsExcellent customer service skills
