Job Description

This individual will report to the Refrigeration Shop to perform planned maintenance, repair, and other projects in and/or on client-owned properties. The role requires working independently or as part of a team, including other trades. The technician will perform work on commercial and residential HVAC systems and various refrigeration equipment.

ResponsibilitiesInstall, troubleshoot, repair, and replace chillers, central air systems, window air conditioners, chillers, and refrigeration equipment.Adjust or replace worn or defective mechanisms and parts, and reassemble repaired systems.Dismantle malfunctioning systems and test components using electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic testing equipment.Work as a team with heat mechanics in maintaining, servicing, and repairing HVAC equipment and boiler equipment, including water treatment.Service, repair, and rebuild pumps and compressors.Essential Skills2+ years of commercial or industrial HVAC service/troubleshooting experienceEPA Universal or EPA 608 CertificationExperience with electrical, preventive maintenance, boilers, and chillersWork Environment

This individual can be expected to respond to HVAC equipment maintenance across campus. Depending on the time of the year and location, you can expect to be hotter or colder based on the situation. Must be able to bend, squat, and lift while sometimes working in smaller spaces. Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, with potential for rotating on-call duties.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $36.00
