Job Description

 

Our HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems throughout the airport's facilities. This role involves conducting regular inspections, troubleshooting issues, and performing both routine and emergency repairs to ensure optimal system performance and passenger comfort. You will work in compliance with safety regulations and standards, and also provide guidance on energy efficiency and system upgrades when necessary. Additionally, maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and collaborate with other maintenance teams for comprehensive facility management.

· Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems throughout airport facilities

· Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with heating, cooling, and ventilation systems

· Perform regular preventive maintenance to ensure efficient operation of HVAC equipment

· Respond to service requests and emergency repair needs in a timely manner

· Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repair, and inspection activities

· Comply with all safety and environmental regulations in HVAC operations

· You have a great attention to detail

· You enjoy working with a team or individually to accomplish your tasks

· Like to build long term relationships with your customers

· Physical activity may include:

· Stand and walk for extended periods of time

· Ability to lift 70 pounds or more

· Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms generated by terminal environment

· Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); Color Vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors); Peripheral Vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); Depth Perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); Ability to Adjust Focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)

 

 

Qualifications

· Minimum age of 18 years old

· Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents

· 2 years of experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair

· Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to HVAC systems

· Ability to read and interpret system blueprints and schematics

· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

· Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team

· Physical ability to work in various environments and lift heavy objects

· Comfortable working with computers, mobile devices, and tablets

· Ability to pass a drug screen

· Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
