The HVAC Technician is on call and responsible for responding to emergency calls promptly and providing routine maintenance to help fix the HVAC system quickly for customers. **Duties and Responsibilities:** + Understanding of 5 through 100-ton unitary DX equipment, chilled water air handlers, computer room units (CRAC), Pneumatic and DDC controls. + Demonstrate advanced troubleshooting skills on 100 ton and less unitary DX equipment. + Installing, maintaining and repairing HVAC systems including air conditioning, heating units, heat pumps, compressors, and refrigeration systems. + Inspect and test HVAC systems and components for any problems. + Perform regular preventive maintenance tasks to ensure system longevity. + Diagnose and repair malfunctions in various HVAC systems. + Ensure compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act. + Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently + Locating and diagnosing maintenance problems on equipment + Searching for hazardous components in an HVAC system + Handling air conditioning systems, routine cleaning, adjustments and repairs + Record HVAC maintenance and repair work performed and keep a record of the type and cost of maintenance or repair work. + Provide excellent customer service and explain to customers what repairs are needed and what has been done. + Other duties as assigned. **Key Requirements, Education, and Experience:** + A high school diploma, GED or suitable equivalent. + Completion of a training program at a vocational school or apprenticeship. + Possess a HVAC Certification + State licensure and certification for handling refrigerants from Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). + Proficiency using manual tools and power tools. + Valid driver's license. + 3-5 years of relevant experience. + Understanding of advanced principals of air conditioning, and heating. + Ability to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice. + Ability to work in confined spaces. + The HVAC Technician must have technical knowledge needed for the job **Travel:** 100% EEO Statement: ASRC Industrial (AIS) and its operating companies affords equal opportunity in employment to all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, pregnancy, familial status, disability status, veteran status, citizenship status, genetic information or any other characteristic protected under Federal, State or Local law.
