Hardware Development Engineer to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment on the design and development of PAM4 module.  The successful candidate should be highly motivated and demonstrate ability to multi-task and work effectively in a team environment. In this role, the successful candidate will have an opportunity to work as part of a world class engineering team and to contribute to the success of Lumentum in this market.

Responsibilities

Responsible for all aspects of circuit design and verificationSelection and characterization of critical electrical componentsOversee PCBA layout activitiesDefine performance validation and characterization requirementsDevelopment of manufacturing test strategy and test flowSupport for qualification activitiesSupport for production transfer activities

Qualifications:

0-3 years industry experience, preferably in the optoelectronics industry.Basic capability of hardware design, has design/review/debug experience of schematic/layout.Understanding of the design and integration of lasers, modulators, detectors, and transimpedance amplifiers (TIAs) within the module.Understanding of RF circuits and components. Have experience of high power density design and PI optimization.Experience of PAM4 debug are preferred.Experience of the oscilloscopes, vector network analyzers (VNAs), bit error rate testers (BERTs), and other equipment are preferred.
