HW ENGINEERING PROGRAM MANAGER Job Locations US-CA-Newark ID 2024-15204 Overview

As Program Manager you’ll be the point of contact between the department and other functions within the company, with exposure to several product lines to create the next generation of products.  You’ll represent the Department in Cross-functional meetings, you’ll drive planning and communication to meet project deliverables in tight schedules.

 

Responsibilities Create project plans for various functions to capture and inter-connect the key functional deliverables and needs: resources, allocation, milestones, and budget.Keep schedules up to date, leverage forecasting in case of uncertainty.Ensure the team delivers as committed, manage conflicts.Prepare reporting for Executives, for Management, and to NPI team.Provide concise & accurate communications, with numbers (dates, quantities, completion and confidence percentages) Skills / Qualifications

 

Bachelor of Science, Physics or Engineering HW related.4 years of program management experience in high-technology industryStrong understanding of HW NPI phasesAdvanced use of MS-Office, and tools for program management (Smartsheet, MS-Project, custom tools)Excellent communication skills at all organization levels, capable of summarize and explain complex issues in few relevant words. Key is to communicate in numbers.Able to monitor and report project status clearly and concisely.Outstanding problem solving skills, pro-actively raise awareness of issues to allow SME to find solutions. Guide and influence multi-disciplinary team to meet the goals. Understand and follow recommendation from the LeadersMust demonstrate high energy, initiative, attention to detail.Work experience in HW, capable of managing prototypes and related constraints.Work experience on high end routing/switching HW systems preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

PPM certificationMBA or Master's degree
