About the Role:

Short Range Devices (SRD) are becoming more and more important in the car. Handsfree Call uses Bluetooth, CarPlay and  Android Auto are based on WiFi, V2X is key technologies to enable Autonomous Driving and UWB/NFC are the part of Passive Keyless Entry.
With rapid increasing of the number of wireless enabled devices regulatory rules are becoming stronger to ensure proper functionality in congestion enviroment. As the result the knowledge about worldwide regulatory rules and test requirements is essential for developing and homologation of wireless devices.
As a R&D Regulatory Expert you cover all regulatory related topics to support R&D SRD team, other Harman project and product teams as well as customer with necessary regulatory information. You discuss with customer regulatory related settings for SRD product and with test houses about their requirements for Devices Under Test to ensure smooth homologation process.  

What You Will Do:

Monitoring of regulatory specification for Short Range technologies worldwide to provide developer with essential information and requirements for design/product development.Clarification of open questions and topics with test labs, local authority, etc.Provide bestDefinition of worst-case test specification for Design Verification tests based on worldwide regulatory rules.Participate in definition of HW design requirements for SRD from worldwide regulatory rules point of view to short time to market and reduce cost of finish good.Generating and handling of regulatory specific settings/ files dedicated chip designs, modules, and projects.Provide and ensure correct implementation of Homologation related configuration.Co-working with CPM team to bring regulatory and HW specific settings in customer projects and Harman products.Creating and handling of all for homologation of SDR technologies requested documents, formulars, etc.Co-working on definition of processes, approaches, and requirements to short time to market.Co-working on definition of HW/SW setup for homologation process of SRD to short test time in external labs as well as

What You Need:

Minimum of bachelor degree in engineering (Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or appropriate graduation)5+ years professional experience in the HW development or verification of analog/digital applications and standalone functional unitsExperience in homologationKnowledge in Radio Frequency measurementBasic Knowledge in Short Range Technologies and antennasGood knowledge in spoken and written EnglishBasic knowledge Software (LINUX, , Android) in the automotive environmentExperience with software programming for automation of tests (e.g. bash scripts, python, Matlab, ...)
