Position Summary: The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's information security infrastructure. They are a key member of the cybersecurity team, responsible for protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the organization's data and systems.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement security controls and technologies to protect the organization's data and systems, including firewall configurations, intrusion detection systems, and data encryption solutions Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, and operations, to define and implement security solutions that meet business requirements Conduct risk assessments and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential security threats Participate in incident response efforts in the event of a security breach or cyber attack Participate in the development of technical proposals and estimates for new security projects, including defining scope, timelines, and resources required Stay up-to-date on the latest security trends, threats, and technologies, and advise leadership on how to address them Develop and deliver security awareness training to employees to ensure that they understand their role in protecting the organization's data and systems Collaborate with other IT members and management to continuously improve the organization's security posture Maintain documentation of the organization's security infrastructure, including network diagrams and asset inventory Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including IT, legal, and business unit leaders, to ensure that the organization's security program is integrated into all aspects of the business.Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience. Applicant should have 5+ years designing and implementing high available, scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions. Work both individually and as part of a team on multiple projects concurrently. Ability to solve difficult problems in innovative ways.Infection Control: Initial and Ongoing training in dealing with infection control. Trainings could include but are not limited to, blood borne pathogens, bodily fluids and bio hazardous materials as it applies to your daily work environment.
