Amentum is actively seeking a Hydraulics & Controls Lead for International Fleet Support under the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) PMS 326 Follow-On Technical Support (FOTS) contract. **The work location will be at the Egyptian Naval Base in the port of Alexandria, Egypt.** This position includes a competitive benefits package. **Essential responsibilities and daily duties include:** + Provide consulting oversight and On-the-job (OJT) training to the workforce of Egyptian Nationals on how to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and replace hydraulic systems effectively and conduct preventive maintenance to minimize future issues. + Perform troubleshooting, repairing, and overhauling marine electronic systems using approved technical work packages and technical publications. Tasking includes but is not limited to, supporting removal and repairs to circuit cards, cables, PLC and junction boxes (replacement and rebuild), and other engineering systems and subsystems typically found aboard U.S. Navy /former U.S. Navy vessels and boats. + Perform intermediate and depot-level repairs on all types of main electronic systems, subsystems, equipment, auxiliary electronics, and RF systems typically found aboard the US Navy/ former US. Navy vessels and boats in support of Egyptian Navy shipboard lifecycle maintenance requirements. + Provide detailed and technically accurate written condition and open and inspection reports. Use technical publications to identify and order required repair parts. + Document findings, repairs, and recommendations for internal records and reference during the execution of ship availabilities for various ship platforms as required and directed by in-country Amentum management. + Participate as a member of the Amentum Ship Repair Team (SRT) in close coordination with the Industrial Manager. + Provide timely and comprehensive inputs for the Monthly Status Report. **Minimum Requirements** + Possess High School Diploma or GED. + Ten (10) years of experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing issues with shipboard hydraulic systems. Five (5) years of specific Shipyard or Naval experience. + Working knowledge of intermediate and depot-level repair procedures, repair, maintenance standards, quality assurance specifications, and proper use of IMA industrial machinery. + Proficiency using hand tools, precision measurement tools, and equipment to perform repairs and have a thorough knowledge of standard shipyard practices. + Ability to work independently and in a team environment. + Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing. + Proficiency with basic computer operation and ability to create and maintain various reports and spreadsheets. + Ability to interpret vessel blueprints, ship drawings, and hydraulic system drawings in addition to research ships’ systems manuals to identify problems as they arise. + Ability to diagnose and repair technical issues, provide customer support, and contribute to the overall maintenance and improvement of hydraulic and control systems. + Ability to host pre and post shift meetings and ensure daily work is assigned, completed, and documented. + Ability to obtain a Country Clearance and Base Pass authorization. + Ability to possess a current passport at least two years before expiration after arrival in Egypt. + Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS. **Preferred Qualifications** + Prior ship maintenance experience or working knowledge of expectations and safety protocols related to a shipyard environment. + Experience working in an Arab country for long periods.
