Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Hydrogeologist, we'll count on you to:

Follow prescribed procedures and detailed instructions, conduct analyses to develop design options or recommendations and assist in the preparation of technical documents.Perform routine scientist assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures on projects that have clear, specified objectives and limited variables.Work independently on small projects or assist more-senior scientists/engineers on larger projects.Perform other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

P.G. or P.E. or able to secure professional license within 2-4 yearsPrior experience with field work associated with well drilling, construction, and testingPrior experience with groundwater studies and well designFamiliarity with water chemistry and water qualityCourse work in aquifer hydraulics and hydrologyFamiliarity with groundwater modeling, including MODFLOWExperience preparing technical reports, well diagrams, and boring logsExperience with AQTESOLV or similar aquifer testing analysis softwareBasic knowledge of Idaho well construction regulations a plus40-hour HAZWOPER training a plusLocal candidates preferredRequired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies, Hydrology, Civil Engineering, Water Resources or closely related field Knowledge of and familiarity with technical evaluations and conceptual modeling Demonstrated basic working skills with GIS, Microsoft Excel and Word Total Station experience (GPS and associated software) Strong technical writing skills are also necessary Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of task May require field work in remote areas An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
