In the role of Hydrogeologist, we'll count on you toFollow prescribed procedures and detailed instructions, conduct analyses to develop design options or recommendations and lead or assist in the preparation of technical documents.Work independently on small projects or assist more-senior scientists/engineers on larger projects. Manage tasks or small projects as they arise.Work under project engineers on the application of various design engineering and modeling techniques in the development of water resource projects for federal, state and local municipalitiesFocus on hydraulics and hydrology modeling, stormwater collection systems modeling, data collection, assimilation, and presentationsFocus on projects including flood control, river design, stream grade control structures, dike systems, levees, stream channel restoration/rehabilitation, wetland and lake restoration, watershed issues and non-point source loading and point source designProduce design calculations, draft technical reports and perform water resources studies.Perform other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

P.H. or P.E. or able to secure professional license within 5 yearsPrior experience with field work associated with surface water hydrology, restoration, and/or constructionPrior experience with groundwater studies Familiarity with water chemistry and water qualityCourse work in hydraulics and hydrologyExperience preparing technical reports and producing Local candidates preferred#LI-JM8Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies, Hydrology, Civil Engineering, Water Resources or closely related field Knowledge of and familiarity with technical evaluations and conceptual modeling Demonstrated basic working skills with GIS, Microsoft Excel and Word Total Station experience (GPS and associated software) Strong technical writing skills are also necessary Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of task May require field work in remote areas An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
