Verdantas is seeking a Hydrogeologist Intern. This position will be held in our Dublin office.
Responsibilities: Performing basic field tasks including data collection and measurements Preparing field notes and related documentation in accordance with company standards Maintaining Excel databases associated with regulatory compliance Assisting with preparing regulatory submittals, such as permit applications and plans Overseeing well installations and soil borings Collecting groundwater, soil, sediment, air, and surface water samples Retrieving necessary data using online databases, off-line records, or other means Entering collected data into report format using applicable software and company formatting guidelines Appling basic knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and regulatory programs
Qualifications: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Geology, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, or a related degree Proficient with Microsoft Office Must have a valid driver’s license Must have a personal vehicle for independent transportation to work sites Ability to conduct fieldwork with some heavy lifting, 50 to 80 lbs Relative internship and/or Co-Op experience 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training Must be able to write effectively and articulate outcomes to clients and team members Verdantas strives to develop new ways to increase diversity awareness within our organization.
