Required: Attend an approved HBO Safety course Required: Attend an approved Hyperbaric Safety Director course Must obtain CHT within the first year. Must have completed a National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology approved hyperbaric medicine introductory course Complete competency skills checklist
LANGUAGE/ COMMUNICATION SKILLS:1. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
2. Ability to communicate effectively in an emergency situation.
SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or Certificate equivalent. Be certified or/and or licensed in one of the following vocations:
Respiratory Therapist Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)
Physician Physician Assistant
Corpsman Medical Services Specialist
EMT Physical Therapist
Paramedic Physical Therapy Assistant
RN, LPN, LVN Certified/Registered Medical Assistant
Nurse Practitioner Other allied healthcare professions as approved by the NBDHMT for
certification eligibility
