Key Responsibilities:

Administers Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy to patients as prescribed by the Hyperbaric ProviderMonitoring and controlling the performance of the hyperbaric chamber equipment, as well as observing the patient(s)' responses during the session & making proper adjustments to ensure the patient's safety & the safety of effective use of the equipmentKeeping open lines of communication with the patient, physician, co-workers, and wound center about changes in a patient's clinical conditionMaintaining a safe environment in the hyperbaric facility for patients and staff, and using approved, recognized decompression procedures for all persons with a hyperbaric exposure to inert gases

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:Current certification or license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Paramedic, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Certified Hyperbaric Specialist (CHS).Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 1 month of hire.Complete an approved 40-hr hyperbaric medicine introductory training course within 6 months of hire, whose cost is covered by the department
