Hypersonic Aeropropulsion Test Manager
Tullahoma, TN, USA | Full Time Job Title: Hypersonic Aeropropulsion Test Manager Location : Arnold AFB, TN - Tullahoma, TN (On-Site) Canvas Inc. is at the forefront of hypersonic technology development, and we are seeking a Hypersonic Aero Propulsion Test Manager to join our team at the Arnold Engineering and Development Complex (AEDC). This role will be pivotal in advising and assisting in the testing of hypersonic propulsion systems, ensuring they meet the stringent requirements of the Department of Defense (DoD) and contribute to the advancement of national capabilities. Duties: + Oversee and facilitate the planning, coordination, and execution of Hypersonic Aeropropulsion testing in AEDC facilities. + Collaborate with DoD stakeholders to align testing protocols with project objectives and operational needs. + Develop and implement test methodologies to assess Aeropropulsion performance and system integration in hypersonic environments. + Analyze test data to provide insights and recommendations for system improvements. + Lead the development of test procedures and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements. + Engage in continuous improvement activities for test facility operations and personnel development. Requirements: + Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field + Minimum of 7 years of experience in test engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role within Aeropropulsion or Hypersonic systems, willing to wave experience for strong applicants with demonstrated skill set. + Background in project management, preferred experience managing complex test programs, particularly in propulsion or aerospace environments. + Knowledge of hypersonic propulsion systems, aerothermal dynamics, and testing methodologies. + Proven track record in project management, including budget oversight, scheduling, and resource allocation. + Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
