Description
We are seeking an experienced I& E Lead to join our team in Midland, Texas. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in designing control systems and power distribution systems for industrial gas processing facilities to provide technical support to all projects.
Responsibilities:
• Apply your comprehensive knowledge of electrical engineering and design practices to develop electrical deliverables for projects, including conceptual design, preliminary design, and detailed design.
• Engineer and design PLC based control systems and miscellaneous electrical systems such as lighting, grounding, and electrical heat tracing.
• Develop standard operating procedures for electrical systems and equipment on industrial gas processing facilities.
• Support project construction efforts by providing support through meetings, RFI, and occasional site visits.
• Participate in procurement activities associated with electrical & control systems equipment, including preparing technical data for inquiry packages, preparing technical bid evaluations, and reviewing vendor drawing and document submittal reviews.
• Manage third-party electrical engineering firms to meet key project deliverables and back-check their work.
• Participate in the development of electrical construction bid packages.
• Conduct inspections of electrical installations and electrical equipment for conformance with engineering documents, equipment specifications, and safety standards.
• Develop from standard P& ID’s all instrumentation, I/O controls & typical motor control and distribution.
• Supervise yard/shop contractors for electrical fabrication of energy electrical systems.
Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Energy/Natural Resources industry as an I& E Lead or similar role
• Ability to use Maps API for geolocation purposes
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and report preparation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word for creating and editing documents
• Excellent detail oriented skills to build and maintain relationships
• Familiarity with auditing procedures to ensure compliance with standards
