Position Summary:

Responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of IAM solutions within our organization.  Working closely with intermediate and senior IAM engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure effective identity lifecycle management, privileged account management, and adherence to security and access governance practices.  Building a solid foundation in IAM principles and technologies, while offering opportunities for growth and learning.

Essential Functions:

Assist in the implementation and configuration of IAM solutions to meet business and security requirements.

Support the identity lifecycle management process, including user provisioning, deprovisioning, and access requests.

Participate in the deployment and management of privileged account management (PAM) solutions to enforce secure access controls for privileged users.

Collaborate with senior engineers to deploy IAM solutions in cloud environments, ensuring integration with cloud platforms and adherence to best practices.

Learn and utilize infrastructure as code (IaC) principles andCI/CD  tools to automate IAM infrastructure deployment and configuration.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute to the definition and implementation of IAM policies, standards, and procedures.

Assist in providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders on IAM-related matters, including access controls and authentication methods.

Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of IAM systems, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

Gain exposure to DevOps practices and assist in integrating IAM solutions into CI/CD pipelines.

Learn and assist in the configuration and integration of third-party IAM commercial and open source solutions.

Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies related to identity and access management, including zero trust principles and architectures.

Perform business day on-call functions with minimal supervision. Resolve routine issues independently.

Perform basic administration, configuration, and troubleshooting of the identity management solution with minimal supervision.

Participate in on-call rotation for support during non-business hours.

Compile and refine documentation about standard operating procedures.

Create and maintain identity role and entitlement definitions.

Demonstrate basic proficiency with scripting languages such as JavaScript or Groovy.

Represent the IAM team in discussions with business and IT stakeholders on routine IAM-related topics.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

Basic understanding of identity and access management principles and concepts.

Familiarity with privileged account management and access controls for privileged users.

Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and familiarity with cloud platforms 

Interest in infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and willingness to learn CI/CD tools.

Exposure to code repository version control systems.

Eagerness to learn and work with IAM platforms.

Familiarity with zero trust principles and a strong desire to expand knowledge in this area.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional environment.

Must have the ability to multitask, prioritize and be able to work independently or within a team environment.

Must have good customer service and time management skills.

Ability to develop solutions to a variety of complex problems, and reference established precedents and policies.
