Our work depends on Mechanic (General) joining our team to aid the Warfighter in an impactful mission this will require the Mechanic (General) will provide sustainment maintenance and perform periodic PMCS maintenance on all types of Elevated Sensors generators ranging in size from 2kW to 100k in a rapid paced, time sensitive, high-quality and paced environment. **How you will make an impact to the mission as a Mechanic (General):** + Performs operational checks, induction and return to service inspections, troubleshoot faults, remove, and replace components, service generators, remove and replace fluids, adjust and alignments, use hand tools and electronic measuring devices such as AC/DC voltmeters and, ohms meters + Read, understand, and follow technical manuals, engineering documents, schematic diagrams, safety bulletins, and news flashes; be able to input data into databases and be able to retrieve data to perform maintenance or provide reports as requested + Ability to troubleshoot, relay logic, repair or replace damaged parts on generators and have knowledge of diesel engines with the ability to perform engine repairs, service or required maintenance to sustain generators + Update the required maintenance databases, with statuses and issues and report to leadership + Tracks and updates work orders to include the replacement of parts’ component serial numbers removed and replaced + Interact and professionally exhibit customer service skills and be able to present a positive approach with customers displaying strong communication skills + Ability to multi-task, prioritize commitments, and manage time effectively including attention to detail to meet mission requirements **What you will need to succeed:** + BA/BS + 8-12 yrs. experience (15 yrs. Exp. in lieu of a degree) + US Secret Security Clearance Required + On Customer Site + Must be willing to support up to an 84-hour Extended Work Week or work week assigned to PDY or TDY work week based on mission requirements including travel within SWA as required + Must be capable of meeting standards of fitness for deployment to the SWA of Operations yearly while residing on contract in SWA and be able to withstand physical demands of seasonal hot or cold temperatures and willing to live and operate in an austere environment with the ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, squat, kneel, other physical activities as required to support the mission requirements + Experience utilizing COLTS (or similar such as RCLS) and operating within the GCSS-A environment + Proficient in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel + Import/Export (ITAR/EXIM) compliance experience + Successfully complete CRC and obtain the required PPE equipment required for SWA **GDIT is your place:** + 401K with company match + Comprehensive health and wellness packages + Internal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career + Professional growth opportunities including paid education and certifications + Cutting-edge technology you can learn from + Rest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays The likely hourly rate for this position is between $38.34 - $49.76. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
