Your mission, roles and responsibilities

We are looking for an Iberia & Italy IDP Manager to be based in Santa Maria da Feira or Valencia.

 

As a Country Purchasing Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Region Head of Purchasing by defining and executing country-specific purchasing strategies and actions. Your primary goal will be to ensure that the business needs within the country are met effectively. You will manage the purchasing workforce in close collaboration with the Commodity teams, staying updated on market conditions and trends to ensure a continuous supply of goods and services.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Support: Assist in defining and implementing country-specific purchasing strategies.Team Management: Oversee the purchasing workforce and collaborate with Commodity teams.Market Awareness: Stay informed about market conditions and trends.Internal Networking: Develop a network with internal customers to explain the INDIRECT PURCHASING strategy and identify potential improvements.Organizational Interaction: Interact at all levels, developing presentations for Management.Regional Contribution: Contribute to regional targets through commodity and regional actions.Strategy Implementation: Apply commodity strategies to implement negotiated contracts.Project Participation: Participate in commodity projects and manage integration through regional buyers.Market Analysis: Contribute to updating the Commodity Strategy with market analysis.Local Purchase Optimization: Optimize local purchases, consolidate needs, globalize bids, and negotiate contracts.Contract Management: Ensure supplier contracts are consistent and involve the legal department when necessary.Supplier Management: Manage the supplier panel and follow up on performance.Cost Reduction: Lead or contribute to cost reduction actions beyond price negotiations.Administrative Efficiency: Run and optimize the purchase order administrative process.Compliance: Ensure compliance with FCP rules and the Code of Ethics.Methodologies and Tools: Apply defined methodologies and tools for the Purchasing department.
 Your profile and competencies to succeed

Qualifications:

Higher education degree (master, MBA) in business, purchasing or engineering.Professional Purchasing qualification is a plus.

 

Experience:

Minimum 8 years experience including at least a previous experience in the same level of position in an industrial environment.
