IBM ASEAN External Communications Professional
**Introduction** Key Responsibilities * Conceptualize and execute on IBM’s external communication strategies to drive greater visibility for the IBM brand and build thought leadership for specific businesses creatively and increase IBM’s share of voice for * both Thailand and ASEAN. * Build mindshare for the IBM brand and capabilities by leveraging relationships with key media and various external stakeholders in the region. * Develop and lead execution of communications plans for key IBM imperatives aligned to business strategies. * Conceptualise programs at an ASEAN level and help country teams to replicate these locally to drive consistent storytelling and increase share of voice. * Localising global narratives and providing the country teams with a view of the kep activities they can take advantage of. * Develop aligned, consistent messages applying communications techniques with a strong storytelling approach to align to the national agenda. * Make sound judgement in managing crisis working with internal and external stakeholders with the aim to minimise impact to the IBM brand. * Support teamwork and collaboration for Communications and Social Media campaign planning and execution along with taking a social first approach for announcements, as needed. * Support country teams on helping them build their external media narrative and have a healthy, consistent lineup of media activities. **Your role and responsibilities** IBM seeks a dynamic and experienced External Communications professional to join the ASEAN Communications and Social team. Keen understanding of the technology market, excellent relationship with top tier media (preferable good understanding of Thailand and asean as a region); good knowledge of social media are prerequisites for the role. With strong stakeholder management skills, the successful candidate, working collaboratively with the Thailand leadership and ASEAN team will build a powerful brand presence for IBM. **Required technical and professional expertise** This role requires deep understanding of the of Communications discipline: · Good experience in strategizing and executing plans that engage traditional and social media to build strong brand preference. · Extensive and deep relationships with top tier media in the ASEAN region. · Highly skilled in developing strong narratives that align to ASEAN’s National Agendas. · Able to identify key industry/client issues and execute tactics that build favourable mindshare. · Competent in acting as a strategic advisor to Senior Management and Global Spokespersons. Specific skills include: · 5-8 years of experience in communications. · Strategic and critical thinker. · Excellent and experienced writer and content creator. · Effective collaborator. · Teamwork advisor. · Innovator who thrives in fast-paced/ambiguous environments. · Curious researcher. · Good with Thai language
