About the role: As a Software Engineer Senior, you will manage and support EBT applications and troubleshoot issues reported in the EBT IBM platform.

Develop core versions of software applications for sale to external clients. Identifies client purchasing requirements and technical specifications through Product Management and/or client representatives. Interacts with engineering groups to assist in design changes to equipment and/or software. Trains and communicates with clients on systems application. We are looking for a senior engineer who has a strong sense of ownership and drive.

About the team:

EBT has complex projects to be executed in 2025 like Northern coalition states(NCS) EBT conversion which involves SNAP & WIC conversion for state of MA, ME, CT, NH, RI, VT. Total Contract Value(TCV) of this entire NCS state conversions is estimated to be around 90 million USD. On top of this NCS State conversions, currently working on FNS gateway, CNMI Conversion, EMV card conversion Rollout county by county for California and Many more WIC conversions including New York WIC that will come up in 2025. All the above Conversion projects & growth projects involve huge amount of work to be executed in Q4 of 2024 and 2025 full year too. Also, we have started working on Mobile payments project Funded by FNS partnering with google and master card to go live in Q2, 2025. This project will be implemented for state of IL and MA.

What you will be doing:•

In order to meet all the above project timelines, bring in new customers & additional revenue for EBT government division & FIS, we need Replacement position to be filled in to continue the planned work. Execution of these projects needs a developer with expertise/proficiency in IBM mainframe COBOL,JCL,VSAM with HP non-stop exposure who can come in and deliver the work. All these are high visibility projects that has direct impact on the new customers and Revenue. Not meeting the dates, implementing the changes on time can result in loss of customer goodwill and revenue for FIS.

What you will need:

Total of 6-9 year of industry experience in IBM mainframe COBOL,JCL,VSAM with HP non-stop exposure.Technical skill set expected are IBM mainframe COBOL,JCL,VSAM.Domain: Banking and payments.Optional : Knowledge on HP Non-stop.

Additional knowledge on transaction processing is preferred.
