As a Delivery Consultant, you will work closely with IBM clients and partners to design, deliver, and optimize IBM Technology solutions that align with your clients' goals. In this role, you will apply your technical expertise to ensure world-class delivery while leveraging your consultative skills such as problem-solving issue- / hypothesis-based methodologies, communication, and service orientation skills. Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced IBM MDM Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and administration of IBM Master Data Management (MDM) solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of MDM architecture, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage and maintain the MDM environment effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation & Configuration:
Install, configure, and maintain IBM MDM (Standard/Advanced Edition) across multiple environments (development, testing, and production).
Configure and manage MDM components, including InfoSphere MDM, IBM Stewardship Center, and other related tools.
Environment Management:
Manage and monitor the MDM environment to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
Perform regular maintenance, including patching, upgrades, and backups.
Implement and manage disaster recovery strategies for the MDM environment.
Data Management:
Ensure accurate and consistent data management processes, including data loading, transformation, and synchronization across systems.
Manage and resolve data quality issues, ensuring the integrity of the master data.
Performance Tuning:
Perform performance tuning and optimization of the MDM solution to meet business requirements and SLAs.
Monitor and troubleshoot MDM performance issues and implement solutions to enhance system efficiency.
Security & Compliance:
Implement and manage security measures to protect sensitive data within the MDM system.
Ensure compliance with data governance policies and standards.
Support & Troubleshooting:
Provide level 2/3 support for MDM-related issues, working closely with development teams, DBAs, and other stakeholders.
Troubleshoot and resolve MDM issues, including data inconsistencies, system errors, and integration challenges.
Documentation:
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for the MDM environment, including configuration details, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Document and maintain the architecture and design of the MDM system.
Required Professional and Technical Expertise:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum 6 years of experience in IBM MDM administration, including installation, configuration, and support.
Strong knowledge of IBM MDM architecture, components, and data models.
Experience with MDM-related tools such as IBM InfoSphere DataStage, IBM InfoSphere Information Server, and IBM Stewardship Center.
Proficient in UNIX/Linux environments and shell scripting.
Experience with database management systems such as Oracle, DB2, or SQL Server.
Familiarity with ETL processes and data integration technologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Experience with Openshift is highly desirable.
**Preferred technical and professional experience**
Experience with cloud-based MDM solutions (e.g., IBM MDM on Cloud).
Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.
Certification in IBM MDM or related technologies.
