This role requires deep technical expertise in data security, database activity monitoring (DAM), and compliance frameworks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with IBM Guardium Suite of products along with a strong understanding of database security, regulatory compliance, and risk management. As a trusted security advisor, the consultant will work closely with customers to deploy scalable Guardium solutions, ensure regulatory compliance, and enhance data protection strategies. Roles and Responsibilities: Solution Design & Implementation * Lead the deployment, configuration, and customization of IBM Guardium solutions across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments. * Architect and optimize security policies, data access controls, and monitoring frameworks to prevent data breaches and unauthorized access. Compliance & Risk Management * Assist organizations in meeting regulatory compliance mandates (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOX). * Define governance models and data protection strategies using IBM Guardium. Integration & Automation * Integrate IBM Guardium solutions with SIEM, ITSM, SOAR, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Develop custom scripts and automation workflows to streamline security operations. **Required technical and professional expertise** * 10+ years of experience in Data Security with a strong focus on implementing IBM Guardium Suite of solutions. * Deep knowledge of IBM Guardium Suite of solutions * Hands-on experience in configuring and managing Guardium policies, data masking, encryption, and user behavior analytics. * Strong Understanding of Kubernetes based container orchestration * Strong understanding of database security (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, DB2, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Big Data platforms). * Proficiency in scripting (Python, Shell, PowerShell) for automation and integration. * Familiarity with GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOX, and other industry compliance frameworks. * Understanding of risk assessment methodologies and data governance best practices. * Proven ability to work with enterprise clients and security teams. * Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset. **Preferred technical and professional experience** IBM Guardium Certifications: * IBM Certified Administrator - Security Guardium Industry Certifications (Preferred) * CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) * CDPSE (Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer) * GDAT (GIAC Data Protection)
