Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.
· Support SpecTek Component Assembly: You will support the packaging and process roadmap for SpecTek, a division of Micron that provides memory solutions for various markets. You will act as the subcon manufacturer’s point of contact for assembly product/project related issues on behalf of SpecTek. You will also assist area engineers by obtaining die for evaluating new raw materials, equipment sets, and process parameters.
· Coordinate Subcon Activities: You will work closely with subcon (subcontractor) vendors to qualify their assembly processes, monitor their performance, conduct audits, implement changes, and resolve issues. You will also communicate with subcons on technical and quality issues.
· Support Process Improvements: You will support the development and improvement of die and package processes, such as bonding, molding, sawing, plating, marking, and testing. You will identify and implement cost-saving or value engineering projects, and evaluate new materials, equipment, and technologies.
· Coordinate Design Review: You will coordinate the design review process for new or modified assembly packages, ensuring compliance with global design rules and customer specifications. You will create and maintain all assembly package BOMs (bill of materials) and package defining attributes. You will also design and modify bond diagrams and package outline drawings using design programs.
· Manage Projects: You will manage and track assembly projects, such as package qualifications, customer samples, NREs (non-recurring engineering), and DOEs (design of experiments). You will acquire and/or design all necessary technical documentation required for a package quote (RFQ) with subcons. You will also use and apply project management methodologies and processes.
· Perform Experiments: You will identify, run, evaluate, and validate controlled experiments internally to optimize assembly processes and parameters. You will document and report on assembly experiments and use the PCN (process change notification) program to communicate internally permanent changes. You will also provide yield and reliability data to affected internal team members.
· Provide Problem Resolution: You will communicate and resolve critical assembly issues with pertinent internal departments and individuals. You will determine the cause of failure and implement a solution, using failure analysis tools and resources. You will also write and implement corrective action SQNs (supplier quality notifications) or GDMs (global disposition memos) if required.
· Understand Subcon Assembly Processes: You will create and maintain knowledge of assembly’s qualification procedures, quality and reliability assurance, supplier’s capabilities and constraints, and new assembly processes and cost saving ideas. You will also participate in global Micron assembly summits.
