JOB PURPOSE:

As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking a highly skilled Technical Architect to join our dynamic team.

The role is part of the Enterprise Architecture team.

The newly created Ice Cream Technology function will drive the technology set-up, standalone design and implementation of all required technology capabilities to enable Unilever’s Ice Cream business to become a fully functioning standalone company, separate from Unilever.

The Technical Architect (Cloud, Network) is responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient cloud and network solutions. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure that the architecture aligns with business goals and technical requirements. The Technical Architect will also provide technical leadership and guidance, ensuring best practices and standards are followed.

The successful candidate will be one that has significant IT expertise with a proven record of leading large-scale transformations and has a passion for building world class IT security standards, environments and E2E tech architecture that make a meaningful impact.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design and Architecture: Develop and maintain cloud and network architecture blueprints, ensuring they meet business and technical requirements, taking scalability into account

Implementation: Lead the implementation of cloud and network solutions, including the integration of new technologies and services.

Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, including developers, operations, and business teams, to gather requirements and ensure alignment with architectural standards.

Security: Ensure that all cloud and network solutions adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements.

Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of cloud and network systems, identifying and addressing bottlenecks and inefficiencies.

Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all architectural designs and implementations.

Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, promoting best practices and standards.

Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and evaluate their potential impact on the organization.

Skills and Experience Required:

Education: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in cloud and network architecture, with a proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale solutions.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Strong understanding of network protocols, security, and infrastructure.

Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Soft Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Leadership and mentoring skills.

Certifications: Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) are highly desirable.
