Job Summary
An Instrumentation Controls Technician designs/troubleshoots machine controls using PLC's, PC's, HMIs motor drives or other instrumentation/controls.
Job Responsibilities
• Develop control, data collection and signal processing systems
• Troubleshoot existing PLC's , HMIs, motor drives, electronic circuits, electro-mechanical systems, PID controllers and electronic sensors of all types
• Ensure satisfactory operation of new equipment; prepare operating and training manuals
• Train maintenance staff to service critical electronic components
• Monitor and adjust as necessary any equipment validating product
Qualifications
• Min. 5 years in electrical and electronics field.
• Strong process control background, including temperature & pressure controls, strain gages/load cells, signal conditioners, lasers
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Competent with PLC programming, control panel layout and construction
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills in fast paced manufacturing environment
• Flexible and open minded to assist and perform any task as required by management not limited to the above criteria listed
