JOB PURPOSE: 

As a member of the Out-of-Home team in the Ice Cream business, the Associate Manager – OOH Cabinets Operations will play a critical role in managing our extensive fleet of over 80,000 cabinets across various channels. This role is responsible for overseeing both CAPEX and OPEX budgets, coordinating with third-party maintenance providers, and ensuring that cabinets are maintained at optimal levels. The Associate Manager will work closely with distributors, the RBMs, and internal teams to implement best practices, enhance customer service, and support our long-term growth ambitions. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Fleet Management: Oversee the operation and maintenance of a fleet of over 80,000 freezers, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and reliability in service. 

Budget Oversight: Manage both CAPEX and OPEX budgets, covering maintenance, refurbishment, logistics, and warehousing costs, with a focus on cost-effective strategies and optimized expenditure. 

Inventory and Stock Management: Maintain precise inventory levels and buffer stock across both Unilever and distributor networks, ensuring availability and responsiveness to demand changes. 

Productivity and KPI Tracking: Track and enhance cabinet productivity, focusing on three main KPIs—cabinet productivity, buffer stock levels, and reducing early scraps and lost cabinets. 

Customer Service Support: Act as a key support to the sales and distributor network teams, working collaboratively with distributors and RBMs to implement best practices, address customer needs, and deliver a high standard of customer service in cabinet operations. 

Third-Party Maintenance Management: Collaborate with and manage third-party maintenance providers, ensuring adherence to agreed service levels and quality standards. 

Disposal Management: Manage the disposal of fixed assets, ensuring proper documentation and accounting for asset retirements. 

System Maintenance: Maintain and update the fixed asset management system, ensuring data integrity and accuracy. 

Audit and Compliance: Handle and manage the audit process for cabinet operations, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards. 

Refurbishing Oversight: Manage relationships and quality standards with third-party to ensure cabinets meet operational requirements and extend asset life.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED: 

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Administration or a related field (Required) 

5+ years of relevant experience in operations management, preferably with experience in fleet management or equipment handling 

Budget Management: Proven ability to manage substantial CAPEX and OPEX budgets, focusing on cost optimization. 

Customer Service Orientation: Strong commitment to customer service, meeting both internal and external client needs effectively. 

Analytical Skills: Competency in tracking, reporting, and interpreting data related to inventory, productivity, and KPIs. 

Communication Skills: Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with distributors, RBMs, and third-party vendors. 

Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in managing inventory, budgeting, and audit processes. 

 

WHO YOU ARE: 

· Self-starter with ability to think independently and strategically 

· Strong analytical ability 

· Proficient in Office suite 

· Problem solver 

· Familiarity with freezer or cabinet operations and refurbishing processes (Preferred) 

· Experience with inventory management systems or ERP software. 

· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. 

Pay: The pay range for this position is $67,000 to $100,500 Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.   

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.   

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
