JOB PURPOSE:
Manufacturing Area Lead will oversee production activities, specific to their assigned cell, while maintaining high levels of quality, efficiency, and safety throughout the production area. This position should direct their assigned cell(s) to achieve cost targets respective to labour, material variance, and overall cost per ton.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage production activities/ scheduling to ensure efficient production of quality products.
Perform auditing of the overall labor scheme for assigned cell(s). This should be respective of proper Unilever labor rules, overtime costs, and hiring/ training needs for assigned associates.
Active involvement with UMS program, specifically driving AM, PM, and FI practices. This position should be aware of the overall perimeter costs of each assigned cell.
Communications as needed with all levels of plant personnel regarding manufacturing issues and related topics.
Supervise production supervisors and ensure there is a team meeting process in place to address overall cell losses.
Ensure that the production floor is safe and clean, including OSHA and GMP compliance.
Supports the Food Safety Program.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
Associate's degree is required.
At least 3 years of demonstrated success in a manufacturing capacity. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in managing a safety culture, food manufacturing, OSHA and GMP compliance.
Excellent communication skills, and a natural leader, with previous experience guiding and mentoring a team.

Pay: The pay range for this position is s $83,200 to $124,700. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
