Job Summary

The Supply Chain HRBP Support Manager will serve as a strategic partner to the Ice Cream business unit, driving HR initiatives and policies within the Ice Cream Supply Chain in Thailand. This role involves close collaboration with management and supply chain employees to provide both hands-on and strategic support in areas such as talent management, employee relations, coaching, conflict resolution, and organizational development.

Reporting directly to the Ice Cream Asia HR Lead, you will play a crucial role in aligning HR strategies with business goals to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Partnering:

Act as a strategic supply chain business partner, providing thought leadership on organizational and people-related strategies and execution. Collaborate with the senior leadership team to develop and implement effective HR policies and practices that support the strategic goals of the supply chain.

Support the execution of the People Strategy in alignment with business objectives, offering HR expertise in feedback, employee relations, development and coaching, compensation, and organizational development.

Delivery of Workforce planning, P&L &Overheads with Supply Chain Head and Finance.

Organizational Development and change management

For the next 12 to 18 months, with the separation process, we will be rolling up our sleeves and getting deep into the HR operations needed to de-tangle the Ice Cream business from Unilever and establish the new Ice Cream Company that need to be stand-alone, up and running separately, by mid of 2025. 

Lead change management initiatives to ensure smooth transition to the new Ice Cream company. Manage resistance to change by communicating benefits and involving key stakeholders in the transformation process.

Engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to gain buy-in and support for proposed changes. Work with department heads and team leaders to ensure that organizational changes align with functional needs. 

Talent Management and Employee Relations:

Talent: Hiring, Succession, Retention, Reward and other talent processes that serve the Ice Cream priorities

Capabilities: Support brilliant execution of bespoke capability plans for supply chain teams. Implement and coordinate initiatives that support ‘Learn alots’ culture.  

Culture: Drive engagement through analyzing, designing and executing people engagement plans supporting relevant leaders leveraging the power of analytics in UniVoice. 

Address employee relations issues by providing guidance and support to both management and employees, while proactively reviewing data to spot trends, recommending solutions, and coaching Line Managers to tackle problems before they grow.

Use analytics and org. diagnostics to lead and implement interventions based on data & need e.g., reducing attrition and increasing engagement.

Performance management:

Plays a pivotal role in performance management by aligning individual goals with organizational objectives, providing continuous feedback, and conducting performance reviews.

Fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, enhance both organizational performance and employee engagement.

Industrial Relations:

Handle industrial relations matters, including negotiations with unions, managing labor disputes, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.

Partner with the legal team to maintain a risk-free and compliant work environment.

Coordinate and support UMS and SMETA audits to ensure compliance with ethical, labor, health and safety, and environmental standards.

Projects and Initiatives:

Drive HR initiatives and projects such as employer branding and work-life balance programs.

Foster employee engagement through various HR activities and initiatives.

EXPERIENCS THAT WE WOULD FIND USEFUL IN THE CANDIDATE: 

Understanding of the impact of strategic actions on the business.

Mandatory experience in HRBP role with strong track record of performance. 

Execution excellence with stakeholder management including communication and influencing skills. 

Ability to influence strategic deliverables in a matrixed organisation.  

Ability to manage multiple requests and priorities simultaneously – with strong agility and resilience. 

Ability to balance working on transform (separation) type of work and perform (BAU, HRBP responsibilities) type of work 

Appreciation of Industrial Relations/Employee Relations and understanding of Labour Laws.  

Curiosity and data driven approach that bring credibility and speed to actions.
