ICIDS Technician Lead
Overview **This position is physically located in the Marshall Islands in support of LOGCAP** Under the supervision of the Audio Visual Manager, the ICIDS Technician Lead plays a critical role in leading a skilled team of professionals to design, install, and maintain advanced CCTV and security integration systems. This position requires an adept leader capable of balancing technical responsibilities with strategic initiatives, ensuring the efficient and effective deployment of security solutions both locally and remotely, in alignment with the overarching goals set by the enterprise security group. The ICIDS Technician Lead is instrumental in implementing strategic security roadmaps, driving operational excellence, and fostering innovation within their domain. #LI-TM1 Responsibilities This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. Provide new CCTV system design, installation, and programming services. Install CCTV system support infrastructures including brackets and racks. Install conduit, Panduit, and cables (CAT 6, HDMI, VGA) at a professional level. Provide maintenance for installed CCTV systems. Maintain and organize cable and equipment. Operate, maintain, and install communications systems including outside plant (OSP) and inside plant (ISP). Assist with retrofitting or new construction project implementation of new or existing security integration systems. Test and troubleshoot networking and cabling issues related to CCTV systems. Terminate coaxial, fiber, and copper cable as needed for analog and IP-based CCTV systems. Troubleshoot electronics and integrated circuits at the component level. Assist with programming and servicing all types of security products including IDS, analog and IP CCTV cameras, Thermal Imaging Systems, and fiber optic, infrared, and microwave-based alarm processors. Setup, program, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade related servers, workstations, DVRs, and other integral systems. Assist with programming or replacing IDS components such as door contacts, motion sensors, solar panels, batteries, control equipment, and hold-up devices. Perform software initial set up, training, and software upgrades for site-specific IDS devices. Serve as the technical monitor of the IDS subcontract, overseeing the efforts of two IDS technicians. Follow up on projects and questions promptly, provide businesslike replies to inquiries and requests, and perform all duties in an orderly manner. Provide accurate and complete information on reports and quotes. Accurately complete and return all paperwork on time and maintain and conduct an inventory of all parts and material. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or any related degree pertaining to the job. Secret Clearance Certification in IDS, fiber (commercial and/or residential) and CCTV installation preferred. Valid driver’s license required (Host nation driver’s license optional but recommended). Experience: Seven years' minimum alarm industry installation technician experience; or the equivalent combination of education and experience Four years' minimum experience in small electronics repair and troubleshooting; or the equivalent combination of education and experience Four years' minimum experience in fiber optic troubleshooting, testing and repair; or the equivalent combination of education and experience Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills. Strong customer service skills. Ability to communicate with and train customer as needed. Able to work alone and handle problems as they arise without guidance. Ability to utilize technical manuals and diagrams to troubleshoot and maintain systems. Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise and train subordinate technicians and handle daily time sheets. Working Conditions: Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, wet, tropical environment with average temperatures of 130 degrees in the summer months). Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well. The worker is subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside. Physical Requirements: Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
