Overview:
The successful candidate will lead the agile cross-functional technology team in Wilmington Trust’s Institutional Clients Services line of business. This position will report to the Commercial Bank and Wilmington Trust CIO. A highly visible role, this position will require the leader to build/expand on the current IT team supporting the ICS group. ICS is the fastest growing and most profitable business at M&T, on a margin basis. The business is constantly entering new markets from both a geographic and product perspective. Technology is a major component of ICS’s ability to go to market and win. The technology team has a sizable software engineering capability and pragmatically leverages vendor platforms when appropriate.
ICS technology will continue to grow to keep pace with high rates of business expansion and profitability. M&T is looking for strong candidates who have the talent, the leadership experience, and the expertise to lead ICS Technology through this journey. Familiarity with structured / unstructured credit systems, private credit, payments (SWIFT/Wire) and other institutional-oriented platforms is preferred. Knowledge of agile software development is preferred.
Education and Experience Required:
A combined minimum of 15 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 4 years’ engineering and/or architecture experience and 11 years' large technology management / program leadership experience including people management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Capable of working on multiple projects of a complex nature
Experience on large system enhancements, conversions, and production problem resolution
Confidence in leading 100+ people on multiple teams often in different geographic locations and time zones

Credit products (CLO, Syndicated Loans, Corporate bonds) or Fixed Income knowledge(Structured products, Rates etc)Experience of building tech for Sales, Trading, Issuance, Trustee in Fixed IncomeExperience of facing off with businessesKnowledge of LoanIQ, Solvas, ABS Suite, Intex, ClearPar BloombergTech expertise:
