About The Role

 

The ICT Director will be responsible for the management of the transition to and operation of the Kerry Dairy Ireland ICT platform and landscape. Your role will involve the planning and management of transition programme to move Kerry Ireland to its own independent ICT platform and putting in place the structure, governance, team and partnerships required to operate this platform in a resilient and efficient manner to meet the business requirements of Kerry Dairy Ireland. You will play a critical role in ensuring that Kerry Dairy Ireland will be able to operate independently, efficiently and effectively on its future ICT platform.

 

This is a hybrid role with a requirement to be in the Tralee offices 3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities Team Management

KDI will require the building of an ICT team to support the transition and ultimately operate the target ICT platform. This role will be responsible for designing the ICT operating model, hiring the ICT team and putting in place the required agreements with ICT business partners to deliver ICT services. A key aspect of this responsibility will be defining and agreeing the ICT operating model to meet the business needs.

Operations Management

Once the transition has been completed KDI, will require an operations management structure that will support the day-to-day operation of the business. This will include provision of 1st, 2nd and 3rd level support, security, resilience and business continuity services. This role will be accountable for the design and operation of the KDI operations management approach and solution including partner support as required and agreed with the KDI business.

Business Engagement

Engagement with the KDI business will be critical to managing the transition activities and designing and operating the future ICT solution. This role will be responsible for ensuring that a governance structure is implemented that will support business engagement on an ongoing basis through the transition and ultimate operations activities. This is a critical element to the success of the role in delivering both the transition and the future solution operations.  

Solution Delivery

Once transition is complete it is expected that the KDI ICT platform will continue to evolve to meet business requirements, support the KDI digital journey, and remain technically current and supportable It is important that the design of the future ICT organisation takes this into account with respect to team expertise, partner relationships and technology strategy planning.

Technology Strategy

This role will be responsible for the development and implementation of a KDI technology strategy aligned with the KDI business. Setting our and agreeing a technology strategy will be important to informing and supporting technology decisions through the transition and onwards.

Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Extensive experience in IT transition management, service management, operations management, partner management or a related role. Proven experience in implementing new ICT solutions, particularly in a divestment/acquisition context. Experience in budget and cost management with a focus on business case development with respect to effective ICT solutions. Demonstrated ability to assemble, lead and develop high-performing teams. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills. Proven experience in strategic planning, resource management and talent acquisition. Strong knowledge of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) framework and ITSM principles. Familiarity with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in IT service delivery. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Experience in vendor management and contract negotiations. Relevant certifications such as ITIL, PMP (Project Management Professional), or Six Sigma are desirable. About Kerry Dairy Ireland
