About the role
As the Specialist HF Communications NMSES Delivery Lead, you will play a key role in shaping, delivering, and sustaining secure ICT systems across the Engineering Product Lifecycle.
Drawing on your expertise in systems engineering, you’ll lead complex technical investigations, provide informed decision-making, and ensure high-quality outcomes across system design, integration, and verification.
You’ll be trusted to make critical engineering decisions while driving innovation and continuous improvement within a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
You’ll also act as a senior technical advisor, supporting the ICT & Cyber Security Manager with strategic guidance across system design, deployment, accreditation, and ongoing management.
About you
You are an experienced and highly skilled systems engineer with deep knowledge of ICT systems, particularly in secure, complex defence environments.
You bring a proven track record in leading technical investigations, system design, modelling, and lifecycle management, and you understand the interconnected nature of system elements—ensuring solutions are both robust and sustainable.
You take pride in your ability to make sound, data-informed decisions and can confidently act as a Technical Authority when required.
You are well-versed in the application of industry standards, safety and compliance regulations, and are committed to maintaining best practice in your work.
To be successful in this position you will bring:
Extensive relevant experience in relatable technical/engineering roles. Proven experience in managing applicable engineering function and/or technical delivery. An excellent understanding of applicable engineering toolsets (e.g. PLM or MRP systems, design, simulation and analysis software). A good understanding of Defence system engineering lifecycles and procedures. Demonstrated Electrical and Communication Engineering experience. Demonstrated System Engineering experience. Previous experience in Defence ICT projects including engaging with CoA stakeholders. Experience working within Defence Technical Regulatory Frameworks.
