Multi-system organ failure, sepsis, cardiac, respiratory failure-hypoxia, COPD, Client, STEMI, NSTEMI, DKA, ETOH withdrawal, CVA, tPA for NIHSS <6, CRRT, IABP, target temperature management, invasive and non-invasive cardiac output monitoring, EKOS, can take pediatrics patients but it's very rare SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Utilize algorithm based critical care medicine protocols-a nurse on the unit that has received the education would assist them with running the protocols, assist providers with intubation, central line insertions, a-line insertions, chest tube insertions. 20 beds are split into 2 physical locations. 1 unit has 12 beds and the other has 8 beds. ***MUST have a 3 or 4 in CRRT UNIT SYSTEMS: PYXIS/ EPIC/ SBAR.
