Job Summary

MGH is seeking RNs to join our Magnet®-designated nursing team in our state-of-the-art multidisciplinary intensive care unit. The Blake 8 Cardiac SICU is an 18 bed Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit provides patient/family centered care based on current evidence to a highly acute population requiring surgical and percutaneous interventions to manage acute coronary syndromes, valvular disease, cardiac transplantation and congenital diseases of the heart and vessels. Advanced technologies used in support of this patient population include: ventricular assist devices, continuous renal replacement therapies, intra-aortic balloon counterpulsation and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation. The unit is supported by a leadership team that includes a Nursing Director, a Medical Director/Intensivist as well as a dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist. We work each day to achieve our vision: to provide excellent, quality care to patients and families that is supported by a highly skilled and compassionate team in the safest environment. Requirements for a Cardiac SICU RN - Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license - Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience or current ICU experience
