Job Summary
The ICU Technician delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living. Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN), the PCT assists the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with the PCT's skills/training and the needs of the Department, and consistently assists the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment.

H.S. Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience required 0-1 years of patient care experience in a healthcare setting or currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program preferred 1-2 years Critical Care Experience preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills with attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as written and oral communication skills. Ability to recognize patient status or changes that require notification to the nurse. Basic use of computers, printers, monitors, and patient care devices. Knowledge of patient rights and laws relative to those rights, such as HIPAA. Ability to maintain quality, safety and/or infection control standards.Licenses and Certifications
BCLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) BLS required
