USACE offers a large network connecting over 1,500 locations and operates two data centers. The RITS opportunity will provide a revolutionary approach for IT services within USACE. Working and building infrastructure throughout the world in support of the USACE mission. RITS will include the opportunity to move additional IT services to the cloud, and streamline end user support and services, while building and maintaining state of the art solutions.

 

What will you be doing?

The Identity Management Platform Engineer will engineer, design, and architect solutions for identity and access management systems, with a focus on Active Directory (AD), Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), Red Hat Enterprise Linux Identity Management (RHEL IdM), and other related identity management application suites within the enterprise environment. The engineer will have deep technical knowledge, hands-on experience, and the ability to support secure, scalable, and compliant IAM solutions within a Department of Defense (DoD) environment. The Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration, security, and operational efficiency of identity management platforms.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborate openly and frankly with all internal and external partners, such as Government Engineers, Contractor Engineers, Contractor Operations staff, Management, and 3rd party vendors Work independently, including the self-management of projects. Help others and ask for help without hesitation. Ensure timely delivery of all Engineering Service Requests, removing any obstacles to completing work as scheduled Perform risk analysis of each Engineering Service Request, and inform all stakeholders of the applicable risks Provide technical guidance and leadership on the Systems Engineering with a focus on IAM solutions within the Corps of Engineers’ environment Assist/Mentor junior engineers on IAM solutions Participate in developing the target multi-platform IAM architecture Design new implementations of the IAM environment and infrastructure, and after Information Assurance review, coordinate the installation of them with the DevOps Engineer, Enterprise Operations, and relevant stakeholders Document the environment for the IAM architecture, including network port connectivity, and design choices of the associated applications (Low Level Design, High Level Design) Integrate variety of systems into the enterprise Configuration Management Database Automate facets of the IAM environment, including deployment, SSL certificate monitoring/requests, patching and upgrades in coordination with DevOps Engineers Provide secure, reliable, and high performing configurations of the IAM environments Other duties as assigned
