We are seeking a highly competent individual with relevant local experience in IFRS17 to strengthen Manulife Singapore's capacity on IFRS17 valuation..
Key responsibilities:
Lead a sub-team in IFRS17 team which is responsible for Universal Life (UL) / Index Universal Life (IUL) and Non-Par (NP) line of business reporting in overall.Produce and deliver high-quality quarterly IFRS17 financial reporting package and analysis of the key drivers of the financial results.Localise the IFRS17 policy developed by Manulife Group and Regional to fit MLS business portfolio. Assess both financial and non-financial impact for decision making.Drive technical discussion with various stakeholders including internal/external auditors, Group / Regional office and senior management.Manage production for local GAAP reporting of FRS 117Provide advice to management on IFRS17 assumptions and reserving considerations for new and inforce products, campaigns and business committees. Ensure IFRS17 reserves appropriately reflect business initiatives and management decisions.Take a lead in producing business forecasts and plan projections on IFRS17 financial performance. Advise management on implications of IFRS17 and optimize business performance with drive and forward-looking view.In charge the Annual Basis Change and other annual reporting tasks.Manage SOX, ensure accuracy, reliability, efficiency and fulfil SOX and audit requirements.Coordinate for annual projects such as spot checking and AAR.Take the lead to refine and enhance the IFRS17 and FRS117 reporting production processes and controls, which is an important initiative for the whole IFRS17 team.Drive and provide support to ad-hoc projects related to IFRS17.Coach, develop and provide leadership to the team members.What motivates you?

Qualified Actuary from a recognized Actuarial examination body.10 years or above of Actuarial working experience, with some experience in IFRS 17 is a plus.Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.Ability to challenge on key issues and to find and suggest compromise to ensure the best long term outcome for the company.Ability to manage and drive project completion within timeline.Ability to work independently and collaborate with other departments and Group / Regional office.Strong ownership mindset.Strong leadership and experience in developing junior staff members.Working knowledge of AXIS will be an advantageOur commitment to you
