Internship IGT System Test Automation
Your role:
The IGT System Test Automation team is looking for an intern to assist with creation and maintaining virtual testing environments.
This role is focused on reducing R&D costs and increasing verification efficiency for our medical device systems.
You will gain hands-on experience in test automation for healthcare technology, working alongside industry experts to support projects critical to patient safety and regulatory compliance;
Build and integrate virtual environments into the automated testing ecosystem.
Collaborate with engineers to configure and maintain testing environments that simulate real-world conditions for device functionality, usability, and safety.
Assist in automating system verification processes, reducing setup time, and ensuring consistency.
Document processes and configurations to ensure scalability and repeatability across testing setups.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the virtual environments and testing infrastructure.
You're the right fit if:
Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Basic knowledge of virtualization technologies, solid programming / scripting ability.
A strong interest in healthcare technology, quality assurance, and automation,
Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail,
Effective communication skills and able to collaborate in a team environment.
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on educational level and if you would need to relocate to The Netherlands. If you perform a part-time internship, you will receive an allowance pro-rata.
Housing compensation, in case of relocating to the vicinity of the office, €300,- net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255,- net for all other Philips locations. You need to provide a rental contract of the landlord, and your normal home-work travel distance need to be more than 50 km or travel time (one way trip) need to be more than 1.5 hours.
Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €192,- net
Paid holidays per internship term.
