As an [ IM&S Sr. Sourcing Specialist, JP] at [MKS MSD devision], you will partner with [Indirect Materials & Services organization] to [support its Procurement plan and strategy effectively]. In this role, you will report to the [Sr. Regional Manager, IM&S Procurement KR,JP & SEA ].

You Will Make an Impact By:

As a strategic category manager for indirect procurement in Japan, the manager will manage OPEX and CAPEX expenditures, including experimental equipment and maintenance services, facility management, maintenance and spares, energy, packaging, consumables, office supplies, and freight/logistics and warehousing, etc.Quickly assess and adapt to changing sourcing needs and priorities in the IM&S Japan.Utilize your creative problem-solving skills to identify innovative sourcing solutions and opportunities for cost optimization and value creation.Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand their evolving requirements and provide timely sourcing support and guidance.Proactively research and explore new suppliers/vendors, technologies, and market trends in the IM&S space.Engage in rapid decision-making processes to evaluate and select suppliers/vendors based on strategic fit, performance, and alignment with organizational goals.Actively participate in negotiations and contract discussions, demonstrating agility and flexibility in adapting negotiation strategies to achieve optimal outcomes.Continuously monitor and evaluate supplier performance, addressing any issues or opportunities for improvement in a timely manner.Embrace a culture of continuous learning and development, seeking out opportunities to expand knowledge and skills in IM&S sourcing and related areas.Reporting to Sr. regional manager in timely manner for all decision making needed issues.

Skills You Bring:

·       At least over 7 years of experience in strategic sourcing and procurement.

·       Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a plus but not required. Experience in cross functional coordination is rather the key skill.

·       Proficiency in negotiation and contract management.

·       Proficiency in business English.

·       Proficiency in MS tools: Excel, Word, Powerpoint

·       Mindset to proactively collaborate with global/regional/local managers for the optimum solution.

·       Demonstrated ability to think critically, solve complex problems, and adapt quickly to changing circumstances.

·       Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

·       Highly motivated self-starter with a passion for learning and a desire to excel in a new role.

·       Familiarity with IM&S solutions and technologies is advantageous but not mandatory; a willingness to learn and develop expertise in this area is essential.

Preferred Skills: (Optional)

·       SAP ERP and SAP Ariba (Guided Buying, SLP module) experience is a plus.

·       CPSM(Certified Professional in Supply Management) or relevant sourcing/procurement certificate is a plus.
