Image Analysis Intern

As NASA’s largest engineering solutions provider working together with NASA at centers across the United States. We have an exciting opportunity for a **Image Analysis Intern** to join the team! This is a temporary role not to exceed 11 weeks. The **Image Analysis Intern** will: + Provide support to the Image Science and Analysis Lab (ISAL) on various projects. The ISAL unit performs world class engineering image analysis in support of the International Space Station (ISS), Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle (MPCV), Commercial Crew Program (CCP), Gateway and EVA & Human Surface Mobility (EHP) NASA Programs. + ISAL areas-of-expertise include photogrammetry, imagery enhancement and restoration, data visualization, imagery inspection and surveys, and imagery acquisition planning. + The intern will support the ISAL in the development of a software tool that will enable 3-D visualization and enhancement of vehicle-based imagery. + The intern will also support real-time ISS imagery analysis team operations in the ISAL and assist staff photogrammetrists analyze ground-based imagery in support of future manned spaceflight missions. **Requisition Qualifications:** + Currently enrolled at an accredited university. + Completed at least 45 credit hours. + Minimum of 2.8 GPA. **Requisition Preferences:** + Applicants should have good analytical skills + Ability to work independently while functioning within a team environment. + Interested in imaging science as well as computational science, computer vision or photogrammetry. + Experience with python or another coding language is a plus. **Why Join Our Team?** \#CMSInternship In addition to exciting career opportunities, we also have: + Excellent personal and professional career growth + 9/80 work schedule (every other Friday off), when applicable + Onsite cafeteria (breakfast & lunch) + Much, much more! May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time). **Equipment and Machines** Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.). **Attendance** Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements. **Other Essential Functions** Professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.
