As an Image Center Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing patient demographics, registration, billing, appointment scheduling, check in/out at the desk, visit preparation, patient and record tracking, and cash collection.

Associate's Degree is preferred.Certifications:
None required.Complexity of Work:
Knowledge and skills related to utilization review and outpatient precertification and referral management.Working knowledge of computerized appointment scheduling system, patient billing, insurance processing or related office functions.General knowledge of third-party payer procedures.Knowledge of medical terminology and/or CPT/ICD-CM coding preferred.Ability to perform PC functions.Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.Must possess the ability to multi-task.Work Experience:
Minimum two years of experience in a medical office setting. Experience should include patient registration, patient billing, insurance processing, appointment scheduling in a radiology setting and experience with information systems.One-year utilization review and pre-certification experience preferred.An Associate's Degree may substitute for some of the experience requirements.Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periodsAbility to operate a computer and other office equipmentAbility to communicate and exchange accurate informationIn some locations, ability to move up to 20 poundsPersonal Protective Equipment:
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
