Imaging Aide- Radiology- Days- Full-Time
Overview JOB DUTIES: Performs a variety of duties in the transport, care and diagnosis of pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. You will set up and operate patientcare equipment and provide specialized assistance to the professional staff in caring and treating patients in Imaging Services. Essential Functions: • Provide leadership in the development and implementation of evidenced based quality and safe practices within Ambulatory clinics with a focus on standardization and efficiency. • Work closely with Practice Leaders and Physicians to manage clinical services delivered within the outpatient clinics. Works collaboratively with hospital leadership of the laboratory, pharmacy, safety, infection prevention, EPIC, etc. to provide expertise based on workflow within Ambulatory Services and develops training and competencies for clinical and non-clinical staff in the ambulatory care setting. • Design, manage and implement clinical audit process and conduct routine audits to ensure compliance to new and existing standards of practice and workflow. • Manage various personnel actions including, but not limited to hiring, orientation, performance appraisals, promotions and scheduling; and counsel and conduct formal discipline of clinical staff • Identify clinical operational needs; manage and monitor appropriate levels of supplies and equipment. • Assess the clinical practice environment and make recommendations to ensure optimal patient comfort, safety and compliance with various regulatory bodies (OSHA, JCAHO, etc.) • Develop and implement processes to enhance clinic operations and practices for ongoing quality improvement • All other duties as assigned. Qualifications Experience Requirements: 1-2 years Relevant patient care experience required Additional Details: Successful completion of a certified nurse aide program, a patient care training program, current enrollment in accredited radiology program, or other related fields in healthcare.
