This position performs functions in regards to: front desk reception & clerical support, communications with Patients, family and providers, facilitation of patient care & flow between different Lakeview departments and/or outside providers, processing of laboratory tests and assessment of results, documenting patient care and ensuring that the results are properly filed, operating multiple hospital computer systems, performing basic order entry, assisting physicians, nurses, radiology technologists in the Radiology Department and also performs various related support duties as assigned.

Work Schedule: 1.0 FTE 1100-1930 M-F

Required Qualifications:

Completion of standard one-year medical laboratory assistant training program, Phlebotomy program or equivalent (CMA, EMT, etc.) or one year of phlebotomy experience  or Associates degree or higher with a minimum of two years applicable direct patient, health care experience  or Successful completion of a radiology or ultrasound internship program  Current BLS – American Heart Association or BLS – American Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer & Health Care Provider) Knowledge of medical terminology Knowledge of communication skills to interact with personnel throughout the medical center, other medical personnel and patients Ability to exhibit exemplary professional behavior and standards. Ability to display attention to detail Self-motivator and teamwork skills. Above average computer skills. Ability to troubleshoot problems and can successfully use situational management skills
