**Imaging Clinician**
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated leader to join General Clinical Imaging Services as the Head of Positron Emission Tomography (PET) Methodology and Analysis. In this strategic leadership position, you will drive innovation and excellence by guiding all activities related to PET imaging in our clinical trials across the therapeutic areas, including:
+ Leading clinical input to all digital applications development from ideation, desirability, feasibility, and viability;
+ Developing organ and modality specific use cases for new digital products;
+ Contributing concept, CDP, Protocol development and Clinical validation for digital products;
+ For Bayer Clinical Trials, providing radiological/clinical advices on multimodal diagnostic imaging including imaging protocol development, image evaluations, quality checks and appropriateness for a diverse therapeutic areas;
+ Contributing with clinical expertise to the planning, preparation and running of blinded readings and digital projects at Digital Diagnostics/GCIS;
+ Maintaining productive and efficient interfaces with clinical/project teams, Digital Diagnostic, Product Development, Medical Affairs, Clinical Development and Operations and external CROs for medical aspects of Digital Diagnostics and Clinical Trials;
+ Supporting the Head of General Clinical Imaging Services and Head Digital Diagnostics to set strategy and goals in line with corporate strategy.
**YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSBILITIES**
The primary responsibilities of this role,Imaging Clinician, are to:
+ Provides training to external specialists, radiologists, radiographer, investigators, CRAs and other members of the study team;
+ Supervise, plan, prepare and conduct central image evaluations or annotations in collaboration with Imaging Clinicians, Imaging Program Managers and other stakeholders;
+ Develop reading design, define requirements of image material, and assist to assure image quality control process;
+ Develop regulatory documents such as imaging manual for study sites or image review charters to ensure a standardized imaging and evaluation procedure;
+ Support selection and recruitment external experts for central image evaluations / annotations according to study needs;
+ Serve as contact person for image-related questions and advice;
+ Develop and conduct imaging training, eg in terms of TA specific aspects for study team members;
+ Support monitors (internal/external), study manager, clinical / study team and investigational sites to provide high-quality data;
+ Ensure medical/scientific basis for the imaging part of study protocols taking into consideration the requirements of regulatory authorities, aspects of practical feasibility and patientś riskbenefit;
+ Provide consulting for studies or projects with image evaluations or annotations for any Bayer Pharma Therapeutic Area, eg gynaecology, cardiovascular, oncology, including assessment of patient’s response on therapy;
+ Support medical affairs and marketing functions with imaging expertise and actively participate in customer related activities, eg scientific presentations at international congresses and workshops;
+ Actively participate and support Digital Diagnostics/Global Clinical Imaging Services staff and study teams in external meetings, eg at investigator meetings, CRA trainings etc;
+ Keeps track on any guidance which may affect the imaging portion of the study (eg regulatory guidance, tumor response guidance);
+ Support medical affairs and marketing functions with imaging expertise and actively participate in customer related activities, eg scientific presentations at international congresses and workshops;
+ Actively participate and support Digital Diagnostics/Global Clinical Imaging Services staff and study teams in external meetings, eg at investigator meetings, CRA trainings etc;
+ Keeps track on any guidance which may affect the imaging portion of the study (eg regulatory guidance, tumor response guidance);
+ The primary location for this role isIndianola, PA. Relocation may be offered for this role.

**WHO YOU ARE**
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
+ Medical degree;
+ Board certified nuclear physician and/or radiologist with strong expertise/experience in nuclear medicine from an accredited institution or comparable experience;
+ Broad understanding of diseases for judgment and advice with regard to medical and scientific appropriateness and risk-benefit evaluation, e.g. in the area of oncology, hematology and cardiovascular diseases;
+ Viewed as a credible expert in nuclear medicine/radiology;
+ Solid background in multi-dimensional imaging procedures, such as Molecular Imaging, PET, SPECT, Gamma camera imaging, as well as CT, MRI, Ultrasound and conventional X-Ray imaging;
+ More than 5 years of experience in clinical development, preferably in studies with imaging;
+ Strong understanding of imaging trials, drug development processes and AI;
+ Understanding of global regulatory guidelines for Clinical Trials and Software as Medical Devices (SaMD);
+ Experience of developing and delivering presentations and publications in English with strong written and oral communication skills;
+ Good leadership skills;
+ Knowledge of target-setting and tracking in a work environment;
+ Experience of managing risk;
+ Effective manager and communicator;
+ Ability to maximize efforts of people with various backgrounds and experiences;
+ Proven record of relationship building, both internally and externally;
+ Proficient in the use of computer systems including Microsoft Office and proven experience of general imaging review/PACS systems;
+ Fluency in English;
+ Team player and ability to communicate externally with stakeholders to ensure Radiology R&D provides the positive impact to business.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience of managing a cross-functional team preferred.
