Role Summary The Infotainment Camera Imaging and AI/Computer Vision team delivers AI & Imaging technology and features underlying Rivian’s adventure user experiences and services. This multi-disciplinary team brings expertise in Image Processing, AI algorithms, and performance software on state-of-the art computer platforms, and validation to the actual product. We seek an experienced product manager in our team to play a critical role in defining and delivering excellent end customer experiences. Your responsibilities will include structuring the definition and management of our roadmap, and bringing detailed data-driven analysis in end markets, costs, and technology constraints to guide tradeoffs and build business cases for our portfolio of features. To excel in this role, you must possess exceptional communication, education, listening, organizational, analytic and negotiation skills, together with technical acumen to collaborate with stakeholders to build consensus and drive new initiatives. Responsibilities ● Drive definition of our product strategy and roadmap ● Derive data-driven business cases incorporating insights from market and customer research, competitive intelligence and analysis of practical technical limits and costs. ● Identify underserved and overlooked areas in the driving experience, with a focus on enhancing automotive vision and AI features. ● Manage the entire product lifecycle of features from inception to launch and end of life. ● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and document detailed product requirements, ensuring alignment with the overall business goals and user needs. ● Conduct user research and usability testing to inform product decisions and validate product concepts. ● Track and analyze key product metrics, user feedback, and performance data to measure the success of product initiatives and identify areas for improvement. ● Serve as the subject matter expert on the vision & AI product portfolio, providing guidance and support to internal teams, customers, and external partners. Qualifications ● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field ● 9+ years of strong product management experience with a software consumer product on edge devices, including end to end product delivery ● Understanding of AI and machine learning trends, and how they can apply to the application layer product experience ● Familiarity with software development processes and edge computing systems ● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear and actionable requirements. ● Experience building data-driven business cases ● Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and build consensus. Preferred Qualifications ● MBA or postgraduate engineering or science degree with business acumen ● Demonstrated passion for customer experiences and uncovering user pain points. ● Passion for technology, electric vehicles, and the automotive industry. ● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities. ● Deep knowledge of vehicle software systems, automotive technologies, and industry trends. ● Experience analyzing visual and AI applications, and specifying HW, SW and AI requirements ● Ability to conduct deep dives into technical topics with engineers across diverse disciplines. Pay Disclosure Salary Range for California Based Candidates: 213,000 USD - 266,000 USD (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
