Essential Job Responsibilities/Expectations
Job Summary: The Imaging Systems Specialist is responsible for the daily operation of Mcleod’s Medical Imaging Systems, serving as the Medical Imaging Liaison between all Medical Imaging departments, monitoring the operational budget for all Medical Imaging systems, and identifying future software or equipment needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain a professional image and exhibit excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers, in alignment with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
Manage the daily operation of the Medical Imaging Systems, including image workflow, archiving studies, auto-routing of studies, prefetching of studies, etc.
Collaborate with all McLeod Medical Imaging Departments to ensure proper storage of studies.
Assist all Medical Imaging Departments in sharing images from non-McLeod sites.
Work with IT to ensure all Medical Imaging systems adheres to all security practices.
Help identify and meet present and future Medical Imaging needs.
Participate in call rotation.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Qualifications /Training:
Six (6) years radiology experience required or related Bachelor’s Degree and four (4) years radiology experience or equivalent combination.
Prior RIS or PACS experience.
Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:
Candidate must have a minimum of an Associate’s Degree
