Overview We are seeking an Imaging Tech Assistant to join us and support the Interventional Radiology (IR) imaging department at St John's Hospital in Maplewood! This person will assist patients in preparation for their imaging exams and assist technologists in day-to-day functions. Ensure patient exams have clear, signed orders prior to scheduling. Works closely with other departments (Emergency Department, Med Surg/ICU, OB, Clinics, etc.) with miscellaneous tasks and services to provide best practices and top service to our internal and external customers. Schedule Details: This is a 0.2 FTE (16 hours/2 weeks) this schedule will be flexible with your class schedule! On-Call hours may be required. Assists with daily application and system needs as necessary Acts as a patient care representative Greets and prepares patients for imaging exams Assists in positioning patients for Radiological Examinations, excluding holding during imaging acquisition Transports imaging patients occasionally as needed for efficiency purposes Qualifications Required Radiology Technology student or Imaging experience in specific modality or Nursing Assistant Radiation Safety trained.
