Logan Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiology/CT Technologist to join our dynamic team on a PRN basis. This role is integral to providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services while ensuring exceptional patient care. As an Advanced Imaging Technologist, you will perform responsibilities previously associated with the Imaging Tech 2 role, demonstrating technical expertise, clinical proficiency, and a commitment to excellence.
Basic Qualifications:
+ Current Montana Radiology Technologist License.
+ ARRT Registration.
+ Current AHA BLS certification (or ability to obtain within two months of hire).
+ Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
+ Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and experience using PACS systems.
+ Basic computer literacy.
+ Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret instructions in various formats.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience with Meditech and/or Cerner (Oracle) systems.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Duties:
+ Perform general diagnostic X-ray and CT exams, assisting physicians with specialty procedures.
+ Conduct daily safety checks, equipment warm-ups, and quality control assessments.
+ Operate and maintain X-ray and CT equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
+ Perform preventive maintenance checks, promptly identifying and reporting safety concerns.
+ Interview patients to explain procedures, review medical history, and assess contraindications or allergies.
+ Accurately document examination details on tech sheets, following departmental guidelines.
+ Position patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the exam.
+ Monitor patients during examinations, maintaining clear communication through the microphone system.
+ Demonstrate expertise in axial, coronal, and sagittal anatomy, as well as general human anatomy and physiology.
+ Input patient data, specify scan parameters, and adjust equipment settings via computer systems.
+ Evaluate image quality during exams to ensure optimal diagnostic results.
+ Provide exceptional patient care, demonstrating professionalism and empathy.
+ Educate staff on magnet room hazards and enforce safety protocols.
+ Adapt care to meet the specific needs of neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
General Duties:
+ Work independently while maintaining a clean and organized environment.
+ Manage supply inventory and ensure exam rooms are well-stocked.
+ Support colleagues and assist with departmental operations as needed.
+ Maintain accurate records for examinations, statistics, and research purposes.
+ Protect patient privacy and dignity at all times.
+ Adhere to hospital policies and workflows.
+ Report equipment malfunctions and prioritize stat requisitions effectively.
+ Perform clerical tasks, including scheduling exams, maintaining daily logs, inputting charges into the EHR system, and preparing patient exam CDs or films.
+ Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and collaboration.
+ Participate in compliance training and uphold Logan Health’s Compliance Plan and Code of Conduct.
