Job Description
The Immigration Support Specialist will work with candidates, employees, supervisors, and counsel to ensure the accurate completion of applications for immigration and visas. This role requires compliance with applicable Federal, State, and local laws as well as regulations from other applicable agencies. The specialist will oversee immigration programs, assist foreign nationals with immigration procedures, and collaborate with HR teams to recommend appropriate requirements for all visa, permanent residency, and other documentation within required timeframes.
ResponsibilitiesOversee immigration programs and assist foreign nationals with immigration procedures.Provide appropriate responses to all immigration questions and resolve issues according to legal requirements.Collaborate with HR teams to recommend appropriate requirements for all visa, permanent residency, and other documentation.Administer delivery of all legal services to individuals and firms.Interface with all immigration processes for the global mobility team.Maintain knowledge of all immigration requirements and coordinate with external firms.Track work visa status and prepare reports for human resources.Assist managers and employees with visa and permanent residency case information.Prepare documents and design report metrics for all immigration processes and programs.Work closely with candidates and employees to assist with a variety of different types of visas (E2 visas, H1B, F-1 student visas, OPT, etc.).Coordinate with candidates on visa requirements and determine if they can work in the US.Educate and work with hiring managers on the interview process and visa qualifications.Use Excel daily for pivot tables, drilling down, and basic formulas.Essential SkillsExperience with immigration processing in a corporate HR setting or in a law firm with large corporate clients.Proficiency in Google Applications and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Experience with onboarding employees on a variety of visas (i-9, e-verify, variety of visas).At least two years of immigration processing experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to speak Mandarin is a big plus.Audit experience would be a plus.Experience in a manufacturing or semiconductor-related company is preferred.Work Environment
This is an on-site, five-day-a-week role in North Phoenix. The dress code is casual, but closed-toed shoes are required. The specialist will work with cross-functional teams including HR, hiring managers, and operations, and will be part of a team of 4 in immigration and 6 in onboarding.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00
